BUTCHERY CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
Be one of the first to join us to launch our Butchery Classes for Beginners.
After joining us in January of this year to manage our Maidstone Store, Glen is now going to share his knowledge and experience gained over many years in the meat trade with willing students who are either thinking of a career in fresh food or simply a very keen cook looking to learn new skills. Glen has had experience of running his own retail butchers for many years as well as recently managing a butchery business in central London which served top London Hotels and Restaurants as well as famous local residents.
Each class will last for an hour and a half and will consist of no more than 5 students and will be held on a Thursday evening (unless otherwise arranged) at our flagship Store in Maidstone.
In order to atend one of these very popular classes you must first be in possesion of a voucher which can be obtained by calling 01622 752995 or by e-mailing sales@rooksonline.co.uk you will be able to pay over the phone and have your voucher posted to you the very same day. Vouchers can either be purchased to use for yourself or to treat a friend or family member for that special occasion such as birthdays or christmas as they make a superb alternative present.
When you attend one of the courses you will be given a brief history of J. C. Rook & Sons and then a short demonstration followed by Glen (our new store manager at Maidstone) guiding you through preparing your own cuts of meat (cuts selected to reflect the time of year the course is taken) You really will be able to experience what it is like to butcher your own meat ready for the oven. You get the added bonus of being able to take home the cuts of meat you prepare so that you can taste the fruits of your work.
